Cookbook author, Food Network star, Iron Chef and founder of Chefs for Humanity, Cat Cora brings commitment, passion and an irrepressible sense of fun to her role as the Executive Chef of Bon Appétit and Macy’s.
While she made television and culinary history as the first and only female Iron Chef, Cat has long been a popular TV fixture. In addition to a recent appearance alongside Wolfgang Puck in NBC's Celebrity Cooking Showdown, she has co-hosted Food Network's Kitchen Accomplished and Melting Pot with Rocco Di Spirito, and will soon be featured in the PBS series: Chef's Story.
Author of numerous cookbooks, Cat grew up in a Greek-American community in Jackson, Mississippi, a cultural combination that continues to inform and inspire her approach to food. Cat is the president and co-founder of Chefs for Humanity, a national grassroots coalition of culinary professionals working to fight hunger, provide food nutrition, education, emergency food relief when the need arises and humanitarian aid worldwide. In addition, Cat recently became the national spokesperson for UNICEF.
