Tomatillos look like little green tomatoes with papery skins, but they have a lemony, herby taste with a crunchy texture. They’re used in Mexican dishes, such as green salsas.

4 ounces tomatillos, papery skin removed, wiped with damp cloth, and finely chopped1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed1 medium ripe avocado, peeled, seeded and diced1/2 cup finely chopped red onion1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper1 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Cumin, Ground2 to 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice4 teaspoons McCormick® Gourmet Collection Cilantro Leaves1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Sicilian Sea Salt
1. Place all ingredients in medium bowl; toss gently until well blended. Cover.
2. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Test Kitchen Tip: Finely chopped cucumber may be substituted for the tomatillos. Flavor will vary slightly.
