Roasted Cinnamon-Spiced Beef in Lettuce Cups

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1 small red bell pepper, coarsely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped red onion
2 large cloves garlic, minced
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup golden raisins
2 teaspoons McCormick® Gourmet Collection Roasted Saigon Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Oregano Leaves, Mediterranean
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Sicilian Sea Salt
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Red Pepper, Ground Cayenne
16 Bibb lettuce leaves
1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds

Directions

1. Cook ground beef, bell pepper, onion and garlic in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Drain fat.

2. Stir in tomato sauce, raisins, cinnamon, oregano, sea salt and red pepper. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors.

3. Spoon 1/4 cup beef mixture into center of each lettuce leaf. Sprinkle with almonds. Serve immediately.
