Caraway Seed, native to Europe, was recorded in papers as early as 1552 B.C. Used by ancient Greeks and Romans, it was also enjoyed with baked apples in Elizabethan England.
Usage Tips
Toast seeds before use on beef, lamb or pork to heighten flavor. Sprinkle on bread before baking, especially rye bread. Add to sauerkraut, potatoes, stews, cauliflower and cottage cheese.
